Vocational Skilling for Women

This project trains women living on less than $5 a day in Kasese to weave baskets and craft shoes, fostering financial independence. Through hands-on workshops, participants gain marketable skills to start small businesses. SPES provides tools and materials, ensuring women can earn a steady income and support their families, reducing unemployment in the community.

Menstrual Hygiene Initiative

This project distributes reusable menstrual pads to girls in Kasese schools, preventing absenteeism due to periods. SPES conducts community campaigns to educate about menstrual hygiene and challenge stigma, empowering girls to stay confident. By ensuring access to safe menstrual products, we aim to end menstrual poverty and keep girls in school, supporting their academic dreams.

Education Scholarship Program

SPES provides financial support to cover school fees and supplies for marginalized youth in Kasese, tackling the high dropout rate caused by poverty. Scholarships enable adolescents to continue their education, breaking the cycle of illiteracy and early pregnancies. By investing in education, we empower youth to achieve their dreams and build a brighter future for their community.

Entrepreneurship Mentorship Program

SPES for Community equips teenage mothers and vulnerable women with business planning, financial literacy, and marketing skills to launch micro-enterprises. The program includes one-on-one mentorship to guide participants in setting up sustainable ventures. By fostering entrepreneurial success, this initiative helps women achieve financial security and contribute to Kasese’s economy.

Mental Health Awareness Campaign

we carry our mental campaigns in schools as well as creating awareness about mental health.
